LUNEVA uses Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) technology to help gradually reduce hair growth. Before using the device, read the instructions supplied with the product carefully and follow every precaution set out by the manufacturer.
1. Before using LUNEVA
Before each session:
- Your skin should be clean and dry.
- Shave the area you are going to treat beforehand, following the device instructions.
- Do not apply perfume, deodorant, oils or irritating products to the area immediately before treatment.
- Do a test on a small area before starting a full treatment, especially if this is your first time using IPL.
Following the manufacturer's instructions and warnings is essential to reduce the risk of adverse reactions.
2. Sun exposure
Avoid using LUNEVA on sunburned or recently tanned skin.
Sun exposure can increase the skin's sensitivity to light-based treatment. Protect treated areas from strong sun exposure and follow the specific recommendations included in the device manual.
3. Tattoos, moles and pigmented areas
Do not apply pulses directly over tattoos, moles, dark spots, birthmarks or other areas of intense pigmentation.
These areas can absorb more light energy and increase the risk of burns or changes in pigmentation. Where necessary, they should be covered or avoided entirely.
4. Irritated or broken skin
Do not use LUNEVA on:
- Wounds or cuts.
- Burned skin.
- Active irritation.
- Significant inflammation.
- Skin infections.
- Areas with lesions that have not been assessed.
If you have a skin condition in the area you want to treat, consult a healthcare professional before using IPL.
5. Medication and light sensitivity
Some medicines and products can increase the skin's sensitivity to light.
If you use photosensitizing medication, certain acne treatments or other products that may increase skin sensitivity, consult a healthcare professional before using IPL.
6. Use on the face
If the model you purchased allows facial treatment, use the device only on the areas authorized by the manufacturer.
Never direct the pulses towards the eyes, and do not use the device near the eyes or eyebrows where the product instructions prohibit it.
7. During treatment
During use you may feel a mild sensation of warmth or tingling.
If you feel intense pain, significant burning or an unexpected reaction, stop the treatment immediately.
Do not look directly at the device's flash of light.
8. After treatment
After using LUNEVA:
- Avoid products that may irritate the skin.
- Protect treated areas from strong sun exposure.
- Keep an eye on your skin over the following hours.
- If an intense or persistent reaction appears, stop using the device and consult a healthcare professional.
9. Who should seek advice before using IPL?
If you are pregnant or trying to become pregnant, have an illness or skin condition, use medication that can cause photosensitivity, or have any doubt about whether the treatment is appropriate in your case, consult a healthcare professional before using the device.

LUNEVA is intended for the use indicated by the manufacturer. Do not modify or disassemble the device, and do not use it for any purpose other than the one intended.
